This device can seamlessly destroy the newest enterprise HDDs, even those with helium fillings and robustly sealed casings, implying additional metal and seals. Setting itself apart from competitors' chain-driven systems, the intimus VZ Multimedia 180 features a motor that's directly linked to the gearbox. This design minimizes maintenance requirements and ensures minimal lifetime expenses.

  • The particles, meet the H-4 / O-1 / T-1 / E-2 security standards as defined in DIN 66399 (ISO/IEC 21964).
  • Destroys HDDs and flash media, including SSDs, smartphones, tablets, USB devices etc.
  • Delivering high throughput of up to 510 HDDs per hour with minimal wear and energy consumption.
  • The fully automated Eaton PLC ensures simple operation through a single start and stop button.
  • Intelligent electronic overload detection with auto-reverse functionality safeguards the cutting block from damage.
  • An emergency stop switch provides immediate machine shutdown in case of danger and a lockable master switch allows for operation restriction to authorized personnel only.
  • The robust cutting block, crafted from hardened tool steel, features 19 mm wide blades and a powerful 4 kW electric gear motor.
  • A feed flap facilitates continuous feeding of media, with maximum dimensions of 160x220x44 mm.
  • For larger data media, the upper part of the feed slot can be folded back and secured, creating a cutting zone approximately 180x536 mm in size.
  • The particles can be collected in a standard 120-litre waste bin.
